Serifos is a Cycladic island

You get there by boat from Piraeus (4.5 h on a ferry, 2.5 h on speedboats) on the Kythnos – Serifos – Sifnos – Milos line. From April through October there is a daily connection to the mainland. From November through March there is a connection at least 3 times a week.

When arriving to Serifos, the first impression is Hora up on the hill and Livadi and Livadakia next to the port.

Serifos is a typical Cycladic island with the cubic houses, whitewashed or built of stone, sparse vegetation and that special light of the Aegean.

Along the 70 km of coastline there are all kinds of beautiful beaches, from fine sand to rocks, from easily accessible by car or foot to only accessible from the sea. One can find a lot of smaller bays, but also long wide beaches.

Not only are the beaches beautiful, but the landscape all over the island is spectacular. Hills, mountains (the highest is Troulos with 583 m) and fertile valleys.

There are well-marked hiking paths all over the island.

At first glance, the surrounding landscape seems barren. Of course it´s very dry in the summer months, but after the first rains in September everything starts to sprout and then until June the vegetation is amazing.
